What if I miss my collection day?

If you miss your collection day you can set out your garbage at the curb the following week or take it to the Robin Hood Bay Residential Drop –Off Facility which is open on Tuesday – Saturday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Does the garbage truck come by at the same time every week?
Pick-up times may vary due to weather, equipment problems, staffing, etc. There is no guarantee that the collection truck will be by at the same time every week. Garbage must be placed at the curb in front of your property no earlier than 6 a.m. and not later than 8 a.m., on your scheduled waste collection day.

Why do bundled materials have to measure no more than 2 feet by 2 feet by 1 foot? Didn’t you used to accept bundles of 6 feet in length?
The new garbage trucks are dual-compartment, or split body, trucks and the width of the largest of these compartments is 3 feet. The garbage trucks we previously used had a width of 6 feet, which is why the acceptable bundle sizes used to be larger.
